Quickstart

Instrument once. Investigate with context.

Use your Telemio workspace and standard OpenTelemetry instrumentation to start with traces, logs, and metrics.

A straightforward first deployment

Keep credentials in your runtime environment, not in source control.

01

Create or select a workspace

Open the Telemio console, choose your organization/workspace, and use the guided integration setup.

02

Create an ingest identity

Configure a dedicated ingest credential for your application or trusted OpenTelemetry Collector; keep it in deployment secrets.

03

Configure OpenTelemetry

Install the standard SDK or Collector for your language and use the OTLP endpoint, protocol, and headers shown in the integration setup.

OTEL_SERVICE_NAME=my-service
OTEL_EXPORTER_OTLP_PROTOCOL=http/protobuf
OTEL_EXPORTER_OTLP_ENDPOINT=<workspace OTLP endpoint>
OTEL_EXPORTER_OTLP_HEADERS=<secure ingest header>
04

Verify a real request

Run the application, generate a real request, and verify a trace/metric/log arrives in the workspace.

05

Connect a coding agent (optional)

Follow the MCP guide to give a supported agent scoped, authenticated read access to production context.
