# Telemio for Stripe Projects Telemio is an OpenTelemetry-native observability platform. A Stripe Projects Telemio resource provisions a dedicated Telemio workspace and project-scoped OTLP ingest credential. After provisioning, read these project secrets or environment values: - `OTEL_EXPORTER_OTLP_ENDPOINT` - `OTEL_EXPORTER_OTLP_PROTOCOL` - `OTEL_EXPORTER_OTLP_HEADERS` - `OTEL_SERVICE_NAME` - `OTEL_RESOURCE_ATTRIBUTES` - `TELEMIO_WORKSPACE_ID` - `TELEMIO_CONSOLE_URL` When asked to instrument a project: 1. Inspect the repository and preserve any existing OpenTelemetry setup. 2. Prefer standard OpenTelemetry SDKs and auto-instrumentation for the detected language and framework. 3. Read Telemio credentials from the Stripe Project secret environment. Never commit them to source control. 4. Configure OTLP traces, metrics, and logs using the provided `OTEL_EXPORTER_OTLP_*` values. 5. Keep `service.name` stable and use `deployment.environment.name` to distinguish production and development. 6. Run the application or its verification path and confirm telemetry reaches Telemio. 7. Do not capture passwords, authorization headers, cookies, API keys, prompts, responses, request bodies, or other sensitive content by default. For AI-agent workloads, capture model/provider identity, latency, tool and MCP boundaries, token counts when available, retries, handoffs, approvals, and outcomes without recording prompt or response content by default.
