Telemio vs Dynatrace

Telemio is built for teams that want useful observability quickly, without an enterprise rollout getting in the way.

Product comparison based on public vendor documentation and pricing checked November 2, 2026. Pricing and packaging can change.

Dynatrace is built for very large environments. Telemio is built for the product team that wants to get telemetry working and keep shipping.

You can send OpenTelemetry data, connect Codex or Claude Code, and start checking the app from the same workspace. There is much less to learn before the tool becomes useful.

Why I would pick Telemio

The feedback loop is short. The coding agent can inspect the workspace, change the repo, run the app, and check Telemio again. That makes observability part of everyday development instead of a separate enterprise project.

Telemio also keeps normal app telemetry and agent telemetry together. An AI feature can be one runtime inside the product instead of living in a separate monitoring silo.

What Telemio does well

  • Fast self-serve setup.
  • OpenTelemetry from the start.
  • Runtime and agent context in one place.
  • MCP for coding agents as a core workflow.
  • Simple monthly pricing instead of an enterprise commitment.

A quick note on Dynatrace

Dynatrace has much deeper enterprise operations, topology, security, governance, and Kubernetes tooling. Those features matter in very large environments. They also come with a much heavier buying and rollout process.

If Dynatrace is already in the company

Telemio can still make sense for a new service, app, or product team. You can keep the enterprise platform where it is needed and use Telemio where speed and a lighter developer workflow matter more.

Price

Telemio has Free, Starter at $20, Growth at $50, and Scale at $150.

Dynatrace uses an annual platform commitment with usage-based rates. It is built around enterprise procurement rather than a small team signing up and getting started.

Bottom line

For a product team, I would start with Telemio. It gets out of the way, gives the coding agent useful production context, and lets you add complexity later only if you actually need it.
